Lancaster
Lebanon Habitat for Humanity received a $10,500 grant from The UPS Foundation,
which drives global corporate citizenship and philanthropic programs for UPS.
The grant will help fund Habitat’s renovation of a single-family home on Lehman
Street in Lebanon, PA.
“The UPS Foundation’s support of the Habitat
home in Lebanon not only will help a family achieve their dream of
homeownership, but it will encourage the ongoing revitalization of the
surrounding neighborhood,” said Stacie Reidenbaugh, executive director of
Lancaster Lebanon Habitat. “With the help of so many volunteers, this
renovation has truly been a community effort.”
Habitat
is currently seeking a local family in need of a safe, decent home to become
the future owners of the residence. The family will purchase the home from
Habitat at an affordable monthly mortgage. Additionally, the homebuyers will meet
the requirements of Habitat’s homeownership program, which include helping on
build sites and attending financial literacy and home maintenance classes. The
process is designed to help families become successful, self-sufficient
homeowners.

Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity’s efforts to strengthen their community
and engage volunteers in this process,” said Eduardo Martinez, president of The
UPS Foundation and chief diversity and inclusion officer at UPS. “Our goal is
to fund powerful programs that make a lasting difference to the global
community.”
The home
is slated to be complete by end of year. Those interested in volunteering for
