Dr. Anthony Wehbe Named Senior Vice President, Physician Executive of Jefferson Primary and Specialty Care in New Jersey
Voorhees, NJ (November 26, 2019) - Anthony Wehbe, DO, MBA, FACOI, who has served as Jefferson Health New Jersey’s Chief Population Health Executive since February 2016, has been named Senior Vice President, Physician Executive of Jefferson Primary and Specialty Care in New Jersey.
Dr. Wehbe, a Board-certified Internal Medicine physician, has been a member of the Jefferson Health New Jersey Medical Staff since 2012 (then-Kennedy Health). He oversaw Jefferson’s hospital-based Hospitalist and Perioperative Medicine programs in New Jersey, before being promoted to Chief Population Health Executive. In that role, he led New Jersey operations of Jefferson Primary and Specialty Care; Jefferson Family Health Services; Jefferson Home Health Care; and Jefferson Health Care Center, a long-term care facility and sub-acute rehabilitation center. He also helped create and has led Jefferson’s Integrated Care Management, ensuring patients receive the appropriate and most efficient care throughout their course of treatment.
As part of Dr. Wehbe’s expanded role, he will collaborate with fellow Jefferson leaders to focus on attaining positive clinical outcomes; enhancing patient experience; and reducing healthcare cost; as well as Population Health endeavors, a model that focuses on keeping patients healthy, while providing quality, affordable care in the proper setting.

A native of Somerdale, NJ, Dr. Wehbe earned both his undergraduate and graduate (MBA) degrees from Philadelphia’s St. Joseph’s University. In 2007, he graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and then completed both his Medical Internship and Residency at Jefferson Stratford Hospital. Dr. Wehbe is board-certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, and is a member of the American Academy of Home Care Physicians, American Academy of Telemedicine, American College of Osteopathic Internists, American College of Physicians, American College of Preventative Medicine, American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association, among others. He resides in Mickleton, NJ, with his wife and three children.
