Virtua’s Dennis Pullin honored with Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare Award
Virtua is proud to announce that Dennis
Pullin, Virtua President & CEO, was recognized by Modern Healthcare
as one of 2018’s Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare.
“From leaders of health systems who are actively working to make sure
that communities of color have access to affordable and high-quality healthcare
to heroes who protected victims of natural disasters and violent protests, this
year’s Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare exemplify resilience and
tenacity,” said Modern Healthcare Editor Aurora Aguilar. “These leaders have
produced incredible results by elevating the quality of patient care at their
organizations while supporting and advancing their peers to boost diversity in
the C-suite. As Modern Healthcare’s first Latina editor, I take special pride
in this program and look forward to seeing the Top 25 and the 10 to Watch
honorees grow in their roles and their influence.”
In its seventh year, the biennial recognition program honors the top
minority healthcare executives who are influencing the policy and care delivery
models across the country. In doing so, they are also highlighting the
continued need to nurture diversity in our organizations.
“I am honored to be recognized as a top minority executive
by Modern Healthcare,” Pullin said. “Throughout my career I have worked to
ensure that all patients—including those in underserved communities—have access
to world-class quality healthcare.”
Pullin explained that Virtua continues to ensure high
quality and financial stability, and has created a culture that focuses on
providing an outstanding customer experience, achieved by investing in
employees and hiring for values. Virtua constantly seeks new opportunities to
improve population health and well-being for all patients. For underserved communities, this includes meeting
community needs through a variety of outreach programs such as Virtua’s
regional Mobile Farmer’s Market and participation in Housing First to provide
permanent housing for homeless individuals.
