RADIO PEOPLE OF JACKSON LAUNCH HELP FOR HARVEY GIFT CARD DRIVE

Jackson, MS - The Radio People of Jackson (Mix 98.7, Your Country US 96, Y101.7, 93.5 The Legend) are encouraging the community to donate gift cards from major retailers to support victims of Harvey who are in dire need of help! The gift cards donated during the Help for Harvey Gift Card Drive will be delivered to victims of Harvey via a partnership with Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN), a Texas based organization that mobilizes to help victims of natural disaster. ADRN are currently working with Harvey victims in Texas who are awaiting assistance and planning how to rebuild their lives after suffering great loss.

"We know that thousands of people are hurting as a result of Harvey and the need is great", said John Anthony, program director for Radio People of Jackson's Mix 98.7. "We know our listeners have big hearts and want to help victims. By donating gift cards their financial support can go a long way toward not only supplying needs for victims but also helping restore dignity and choices to those who have lost so much."

HOW TO HELP:

1. Buy Gift Cards From Major Retailers - VISA, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Home Depot, Lowe's, Sears and JCPenney stores are most requested and will be able to help the most people in the affected areas
2. Drop off Gift Cards
a. Drop off gift cards at The Radio People of Jackson Office located at 265 Highpoint Drive, Ridgeland, MS 39157 . Drop off during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
b. Drop off cards at our Help for Harvey Gift Card Drive Stops at area Kroger stores, September 11 - 15. Schedule for stops and complete details can be found here:
