Annual Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Michigan— On January 20, 2020, The Roeper School, a school for gifted children, will honor and celebrate the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., at its annual event. The beliefs Dr. King embodied- equality, social justice, respect, responsibility, self-control and peaceful conflict resolution- have resonated in the philosophy of the school, its classrooms and its hallways since its inception. The local community will gather to hear inspirational words, share a meal, enjoy entertainment and listen to personal reflections on how MLK has impacted lives. The event is open to the public and takes place in the Community Center Building, 41190 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills. 4:00 PM Family Discussion and Activities

7:00 PM Candlelight Walk – The traditional Candlelight Walk will proceed from the Community Center to the Domes. Attendees of all ages will gather in the Big Dome to share thoughts about MLK, his impact on their life, on the world today, and the work that still needs to be done.
Overflow parking and shuttle service is available from 4:30-8:30 pm at the Stoneridge Office Buildings, two drives South of the Bloomfield Hills Campus.
