Public Hearing on Proposed FY22 Capital Improvement Program Budget Request

A public hearing on the proposed FY 2022 Capital Budget and the FY23-FY27 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget request will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. This will be a hybrid meeting in which some Board members are present in the Boardroom. However, some Board members and staff will be participating virtually. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the public will not be able to attend the meeting with the exception of those who wish to speak during Citizen Participation.

 

Citizen Participation is scheduled on the agenda for 5:00 p.m. Speakers will be allowed three minutes to address the Board. Citizens who wish to speak must adhere to the guidelines outlined below. Staff will be available to assist speakers and signs will be posted.

 

  • Wear a mask at all times, including when addressing the Board from the podium.

  • Enter the building through the main entrance.

  • Sign in at the desk in the lobby.

  • Wait in the lobby until your name is called. To accommodate social distancing, citizens may be asked to wait outside.

The public may also submit comments and suggestions online prior to the hearing at www.carrollk12.org/boe/Pages/Feedback.aspx or by U.S. mail to the Superintendent’s Office, Carroll County Public Schools, 125 North Court Street, Westminster, MD 21157. All comments received will be read aloud at the hearing.

The hearing will be streamed live on the CCPS website at www.carrollk12.org. You may access the meeting by clicking on the link under “News and Notices” on the homepage. The meeting also will be broadcast live on CETV Channel 21.

The proposed CIP budget is posted on the CCPS website at www.carrollk12.org under CCPS News and Notices. This item will be brought back to the Board of Education for approval at its monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.
