Carroll County Commissioners Richard Rothschild, Dennis Frazier and Stephen Wantz helped dedicate the new Bohde’s Place Playground at Krimgold Park. The park, located at 5355 Woodbine Road, was the recipient of numerous donations, including nearly $70,000 from the David R. Henley Foundation. Ms. Jami Henley organized the playground fundraising campaign in memory of her late husband David and son Bohde. This donation was the single largest fundraising campaign through the Carroll County Park Legacy Fund and was supplemented by additional community contributions. In addition to the funds donated for the playground, shade trees were donated by Beechfield Landscaping and Little Sheep Christian Preschool.

Jami Henley joined Commissioners Rothschild, Frazier and Wantz, Recreation and Parks Director Jeff Degitz and Recreation and Parks Advisory Board Member Judy Baker in unveiling a beautiful new sign donated by Shannon Baum Signs and officially dedicating the playground. The playground was then immediately filled with local children who enjoyed the beautiful weather, heeding the advice on the sign that says “Let’s Play”.

Contributions are being accepted by the Carroll County Park Legacy Fund to purchase additional benches around the new playground and along the park’s walking trail. For more information, please call the Carroll County Department of Recreation and Parks at 410-386-2103 or email
