Westminster, MD — (May 1, 2017) — The Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County will host the annual Carroll community health forum, We’re On Our Way, on Wednesday, May 31, 2016 from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Carroll Community College, 1601 Washington Road, Westminster.

We’re On Our Way will highlight health improvement successes of the past year, including results of the Healthy Community Vision campaign. The Healthy Community Vision painting, which will be available for display at local community sites, will be presented for the first time.

Upcoming projects, including the FY2018 Community Health Needs Assessment, will be previewed.

Award-winning speaker and business owner Chris Heeter will give the feature presentation. Heeter, who has been featured on The Discovery Channel’s National Geographic Today, will share amazing life stories from a 28-year career as a wilderness guide. She applies wisdom and knowledge gained from her experiences to all situations. Her presentation promises to bring a fresh perspective to our work.

During We’re On Our Way, The Partnership will recognize and honor outstanding contributors to our community’s health. The winner of the Karen Feroli Community Champion Award is an individual who voluntarily lends their professional expertise to assist vulnerable Carroll residents. The Worksite Wellness award will be presented to an organization that fosters employee health with a dynamic, innovative program.
