The Board of Education of Carroll County is committed to being active participants in the schools and is launching a new initiative called “The Ambassador Program.” The goal of this program is to strengthen relationships with staff and community members and to be more accessible to the citizens in the county.

Each Board member has selected schools for which they will be the Board Ambassadors. The Ambassadors will rotate annually. While staff and community members should feel encouraged to reach out to any Board member, the Board Ambassador to a particular school will work to develop a strong relationship with members of that community by attending programs and events, visiting the faculty, and attending PTA/PTO meetings to address parent concerns.

According to Board President Devon Rothschild, “We hope that developing a strong connection with the Board Ambassador will allow staff and community members to feel heard and will give each Board member a sense of the great initiatives happening at our schools around the county.”
