Summary Processes financial transactions for customers, sells negotiable instruments, cross-sells Bank products and services and provides quality customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
•Provides quality customer service to customers and co-workers;
•Accepts and processes deposits, including large commercial deposits, night and mail deposits and loan payments;
•Gives cash from deposits. Ensures that individual receiving cash is authorized on that account;
•Sells cashier checks, money orders and travelers checks;
•Transfers funds;
•Monitors cash for detection of counterfeit money;
•Verifies customer identity, endorsements and signatures and maintains alertness for forgeries, stop payments, fraudulent items and false identification;
•Buys and sells cash to maintain teller drawer at set monetary level. Buy and sell money to tellers from vault;
•Balances cash drawer at end of day and may balance vault. Order money from the vault;
•Identifies and processes dormant accounts;
•Answers telephones;
•Performs depository account maintenance and enter new accounts into system; and
•Other work related duties, as assigned.

•Typing 30 wpm;
•10-key by touch required;
•Must have word processing, spreadsheet and general computer knowledge;
•Working knowledge of office equipment;
•Ability to handle large amounts of money without error;
•Strong organizational, interpersonal, communications and customer relation skills;
•Attention to detail and mental concentration for accurately performing tasks;
•Balance multiple tasks simultaneously;
•Handle frequent interruptions; and
•Must pass background and credit screening process.
Education and/or Experience
•High School education or general education degree (GED)
•Basic reading, writing and math skills.
•Minimum of six months working in a professional business environment gaining experience in cash handling and learning to handle large amounts of money without error, teamwork and banking experience preferred
