Welding Program Instructor

General Job Summary:  The instructor is responsible for teaching a full-time assignment of classes on the Emmetsburg Campus, as defined by the College. Some assignments may be during evenings/weekends. This may include teaching high school students. Must evaluate and report student performance and progress in assigned courses in accordance with college and division policies and procedures. May be required to travel between sites utilizing personal vehicle. Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance.

 Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

 Salary:  Commensurate with education and related experience for a 179-day contract.

 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:  At least three years (6,000 hours ) of recent and relevant work experience required. Preference given for teaching experience and an Associate Degree. Must be willing to become AWS certified and become experienced with all welding processes used at the College:  GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, OFW, OFC, PAC, Brazing and Soldering.
