S.P.O.T.
is gearing up for its biggest fundraiser to date – “Waggin’ Tails,” a crawfish
boil at the historic Pierce Ranch, on Saturday, April 29, 4-8 pm, honoring
longtime volunteer and Board member Jan Harrington! The event will offer the
southern charm and scenery of the Shanghai Pierce ranch coupled with the fun
atmosphere of zydeco music and traditional tastes of crawfish, corn and
potatoes. It's sure to be a night to remember!S.P.O.T.
is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping the abandoned pets
of Wharton County. Our mission is to
educate the public on the plight of abandoned pets and to provide humane care,
treatment and suitable homes for animals without owners. The proceeds from
Waggin’ Tails will help save more homeless dogs and cats.
Jan
Harrington, a resident of Wharton, has a genuine love and compassion towards
animals. Jan has volunteered with S.P.O.T. for many years, serving as co-chair
of the Special Events Committee, Secretary, 1st Vice President, and Director At
Large. She is developing S.P.O.T.’s Trap-Neuter-Return program to serve the
Wharton County community. Waggin’ Tails honors her and her commitment to
animals.
