Saunders, the general manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, is primed to welcome world-famous, Tito Morelli, Il Stupendo, the greatest tenor of his generation, to appear for one night only as Otello. The star arrives late and, through a hilarious series of mishaps, is given a double dose of tranquilizers and passes out. His pulse is so low that Saunders and his assistant Max believe he’s dead. In a frantic attempt to salvage the evening, Saunders persuades Max to get into Morelli's Otello costume and fool the audience into thinking he's Il Stupendo. Max succeeds admirably, but Morelli comes to and gets into his other costume ready to perform. Now two Otellos are running around in costume and two women are running around in lingerie, each thinking she is with Il Stupendo. Participants will learn about the opportunities for working on major highway projects, and get to network with other contractors. A key element of the program is to provide those businesses with the resources needed to succeed in the marketplace. PAVED (Projects adding Value by Expanding Diversity) was developed by TxDOT’s Civil Rights Division to increase the utilization of small, minority, and women owned businesses on major highway construction projects and make available “ready willing and able” DBE that can do the work. For more information on this event contact the TxDOT Civil Rights Division at PAVED@txdot.gov or 512-416-4700. The event will be conducted in English. If English is not your primary language and you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, you may need an interpreter or document translator; one will be provided to you upon request. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend this event, please contact Sarah Blackburn at (512) 416-4700 or by email at PAVED@txdot.gov. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for the Texas Department of Transportation to arrange. When:Thursday, June 14, 2018 3:30 PM thru 06:00 PMWhere: W.E.
