Workshop training includes interactive participation
Learn and practice observational skills that are needed to recognize signals of "unmet needs and growing stress" in the person that is living with dementia in a way that reduces anxiety and improves the quality of life.
Learn to use effective combinations of multi-modal help techniques, emphasizing use of preserved abilities. Learn how to respond effectively to unmet needs that lead to distress or challenging behaviors as the disease progresses.
Time will be allotted to discuss personal experiences, ideas, and difficulties other caregivers have encountered.
Workshop participants may include caregivers, families, healthcare professionals, businesses, and any one else that may want to learn more about dementia.
