From the frivolity of Mozart's 3rd operatic collaboration with Da Ponte that awakens such hilarity and joy we kick off the season in an upbeat manner. This jollity is balanced with a reflection on war & peace that inspired Ranjbaran in writing his work for the Green Mountain Music Festival in South Korea. These are followed by the English somewhat impressionistic composer Fredrick Delius who allows us to wallow in the glory of nature, much as Beethoven had done prior to writing his thrilling upbeat 7th Symphony W.A.
