Sarofim Music Series: St. Louis Brass
Founded in 1964, Saint Louis Brass is one of America’s longest standing brass quintets. The group formed originally by members of the St. Louis Symphony to play children’s concerts has since expanded to present full-length concerts. Now, forty years and more than 3,000 engagements later, the group has played venues throughout the United States and abroad to wonderful reception. The Houston Chronicle stated, “The arrangements were skillfully done. The playing was excellent” while the Mason City Globe Gazette said that the “Brass Quintet wows audience . . . standing ovations and shouts of praise.” $16-20, Mathers Box Office: 512-863-1378, www.southwerstern.edu/tickets
