Springs Veterinary Care opened its doors on Oct 2, 2017 and,
in just one year, has become one of Dripping Springs’ favorite veterinary
practices. The clinic has seen more than 700 area pets, and lead veterinarian
Amanda Smith was voted one of the top two veterinarians in the 2018 Dripping
Springs Best of the Best.
“Our goals are to strengthen the human/animal bond and
increase the quality of life of our pets and their parents through progressive
medicine and compassionate care,” Dr. Smith said.
To say thank you to our current clients and meet more of Dripping
Springs four-legged residents, Springs Veterinary Care is hosting the
first annual Tails and Trails Fun Run – a one-mile run and walk. We invite the
community – human and animal – to join us at Founders Memorial Park on October
13 at 9 a.m. for the run, plus a doggy pool party!
The event is free, so don’t hesitate to sign up at springsvet.com/tails-and-trails.
We will have donuts, breakfast tacos, and beverages before the run; come early
to fuel up before the big race.
We hope you’ll bring your own dogs, but if you can’t, PAWS
Shelter of Central Texas will bring some shelter pups for dogless runners and
walkers to take on the trail. The run will end at the community pool, where
dogs are welcome to jump in and cool off! There will be fun for humans, too –
games, raffle prizes, and other giveaways await you at the end of the run.
“We want to encourage our pet owners to get out and get
active with their pets,” said Dr. Smith. “Obesity, joint disease, and anxiety
are things we discuss every day, and we love the idea of getting active with
our clients and their pets to help combat these common problems.”
