PIONEER DAY AT DR. POUND HISTORICAL FARMSTEAD

Join us for a living history day including tours of the restored historical farmstead, live acoustic music, Civil War re-enactors and traditional Native American dancing. Period authentic artisan will be on site for demonstrations and hands on activities covering a variety of skills and crafts such as blacksmithing, broom making, soap making, Pioneer toys, knitting, sewing, corn shelling, beekeeping, farming, spinning and more. Enjoy great food under the Heritage Oak and for dessert choose from ice cream, kettle corn, candy sticks or homemade Pound cake. Special children's area features historically inspired make & take crafts, included with the price of admission. Top your day off with a free horse-drawn covered wagon ride. Great fun for everyone in the family! Admission is $7.50 per person, 4 and under are FREE, senior citizens and Veterans are $5.00.

 Come to King Feed on Saturday and meet some of our great pups available for adoption.  If you are thinking about adding a furry family member, now is the time.  We have wonderful dogs all looking for their forever homes!    All available adult dogs have been fully vetted, are heartworm negative, are micro chipped and have been spayed or neutered. Puppies have been vetted, parvo tested, de-wormed and have had their shots current for their age and are micro chipped.

Treaty Oak Distilling, est. in Austin, Texas in 2006, relocated to a new home in Dripping Springs and opened doors to the public in September of 2015. To celebrate the 2nd anniversary of our grand opening at our serene 28 acre food and beverage destination, we're throwing a party!
 
We'll showcase our favorite food and cocktails from the past, alongside live music by Country Fool’s Gold and Jackie Vinson. For the kids, we'll have a face painter and balloon artist onsite, and they can play on our new and improved playground! Don't miss this rare opportunity to purchase our limited release Single Malt Reserve and "The First Whiskey Made In Austin”.
 
What
To commemorate the anniversary, Treaty Oak Distilling will have two very special new whiskeys released at the ranch only. 
 
  • Single Malt Reserve - $75: This is an extremely limited release with only 48 bottles available! It was distilled and barreled in Oct 2013. Aged in a used Gin Cask.
Tasting Notes: Peaty notes, a rich flavor of malt and mild fruity sweetness with hint of oak spice finish.
 
  • The First Whiskey Made In Austin - $49: We first started distilling Whiskey in North Austin in 2010. This special release was barreled in February 2014.
Tasting Notes: Sweet corn with a balanced oak finish. Rich in flavor, green apple and cherry notes, with a clean spicy finish.

Learn, hands-on the ancient art of Gogigui, and you'll make a delicious menu of dishes just in time for your next fall party!

The Artists Alliance of the Hill Country (AAHC) is spotlighting over 50 juried artists at The SHOW of Dripping Springsas a two-day Fine Art Event. Artists will display their work with musicians performing original songs on stage throughout the two day event. Guest admission and parking to the event is free. Fine Original Artwork will include Digital, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Paintings, Photography, Printmaking, and Woodwork from all over Texas, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma and South Dakota.
