Membership Luncheon

Meet Dr. Neil Matkin, president of Collin College District. Dr. H. Neil Matkin became Collin College’s third District President on April 6, 2015. He previously served as Executive Vice President of the Louisiana Community & Technical College System where he was Chair of the Board of Regents Articulation and Transfer Committee. Dr. Matkin was President of the Central Campus of San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas; Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer for the Virginia Community College System; and Chief Administrative Officer for Illinois Century Network Interagency Governance Board.

Dr. Matkin currently serves on the Collin County Business Alliance Board and the Congressional Veteran’s Commendation Selection Board. He holds Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Science, and Master of Business Administration degrees. Dr. Matkin earned his Doctorate of Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Men of Business

Come meet The Allen Eagle Head Football Coach, Coach Terry Gambill.

Gambill has been head coach for Midway High School near Waco since 2010. Prior to that, he served as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Allen High School under Westerberg and earlier - Coach Joe Martin from 2001 – 2010. He began his coaching career at Garland High School in 1985 and also coached in Duncanville, Southlake and Forney ISD before coming to Allen in 2001.

Gambill received both his B.S. and Master’s degrees from Tarleton State University in physical education.

As Midway head coach for the past six years, Gambill has a record of 68-13. The team was a 4-A State Finalist in 2011, a 5-A quarter finalist in 2012 and regional semifinalist in 2010, 2014, 2015 and semifinalist in 2013. He was part of the 2008 Allen High School Division II State Championship and state semifinalist teams from 2003 and 2006.

Gambill was also named as the district coach of the year in all six years at Midway ISD.
