Program: Join us to hear Colleen Walker, Perot Museum of Nature and Science Chief Executive Officer, share her lifelong passion for science. We will learn how this former Miss Colorado came to major in engineering, and after graduation, founded and served as the Executive Director for Engineers of Dreams, a nonprofit that encouraged over 60,000 high school students in Texas, Colorado and Louisiana to pursue careers in technical fields. Seeking to be taken seriously as the head of a nonprofit foundation, she completed a Masters of Business Administration at Harvard University.
We will learn how the Perot Museum plans to connect youngsters to their futures by inspiring their minds through nature and science. Colleen came to the Museum as the former Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, and past President of Education is Freedom, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive college planning services and producing life changing results for students and families.
In addition to the program, the annual Activity Fair will take place at this meeting. This is a great opportunity to come out and learn about the many fun, interesting and educational activities offered by the club.
