YWCA Bristol will host its spring Emerge Women’s Professional Series in Kingsport on Friday, March 10. Emerge is a quarterly workshop led by local, regional and national experts with trainings specifically geared for women at all levels of their professional career.

The March 10 workshop, hosted at the Eastman Lodge, will feature three inspirational presenters providing women with resources and strategies to enhance their professional development.

Leslie Nichols is an award-winning artist who uses found and original text to create imagery. She is known for her works created on manual typewriters and has displayed her work in over one hundred exhibitions. Nichols will share her art and passion for women throughout history striving for social justice and present Recognizing Your Potential, discussing how to nurture your talent, find inspiration to move to the next stage, and pay it forward.

Jenny Brown has over 20 years of experience in leadership and management roles, supporting both Corporate Executives and Small Business Owners. Jenny coaches on how to be more productive, lead more balanced lives through discovering purpose, leveraging strengths, and utilizing SMART action plans. Jenny will present Change the Perception, Change the Reality,  demonstrating how to create an environment that is conducive to effective communication, how to navigate the three stages of communication, and how to change the course of communication with the right attitude and perspective.

Dr. Bahby Banks is a widely sought after motivational speaker and program evaluation consultant residing in Durham, North Carolina.  As owner of Pillar Consulting, LLC, Dr. Banks works with non-profit organizations to guide inquiry, build capacity and assess effectiveness of their programs.
