Calendar of Events

The Milligan College Orchestra, directed by Dr. Kellie Brown, will present a concert that celebrates the variety of musical representations of the seasons of the year. The concert will feature composers from the Baroque to the present, including Grieg, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Gershwin and Whitacre. The repertoire also will include excerpts from Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons.” The grand finale of the concert will feature English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Folksongs of the Four Seasons” for Women’s Choir and Strings. The Milligan Women’s Chorale and guest women’s ensembles from around the region will join with the orchestra to bring to life this beautiful and exciting work. This concert is free and open to the public.
