Local Chamber Members can register for $125.00The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued its controversial final rule to expand electronic recordkeeping requirements for workplace injuries and illnesses and make such records publicly available. This new rule, effective January 1, 2017, requires certain employers to electronically submit injury and illness data that they are already required to record on their onsite OSHA Injury and Illness forms. At this seminar, the student will get the information needed to record cases correctly, and will learn when cases should not be recorded. Correctly recorded data should also be used effectively in your facility to help maintain a safe and healthy workplace. This workshop provides practical hands-on training and information on the recordkeeping system and the OSHA 300 log. This half-day course will review recordkeeping requirements, maintenance of the OSHA 300 log, reporting & electronic scanning of the 300 log, 300A & 301.When:Wednesday, August 9, 2017 8:30 AM thru 12:00 PMWhere:Holiday Inn - JCFor More Info:Carolyn Davis615-256-5141carolyn.davis@tnchamber.orghttp://tnchamber.chambermaster.com/events/details/300-log-recordkeeping-johnson-city-aug-9-2242 Add to calendar Apple Google Microsoft 365 Outlook (desktop)Thursday, August 10, 2017Community EventKing University Information Session King University will host two Information Sessions on Thursday, Aug. 10, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m. in room 103 the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center (SVHEC), One Partnership Circle, Abingdon, Va.
