Join YWCA Bristol
as they partner with writer, speaker, sports business analyst, attorney, author
and founder of Guide My Brand and BusinessofCollegeSports.com, Kristi
Dosh, on their first Emerge webinar of the year!
Emerge is a
professional series for women striving to be great leaders in today's
organizations. Through expert-led presentations, networking, and interactive
training, Emerge builds upon the strengths and talents women already possess. The
new addition of webinars have enabled women from all over the nation to participate
in the Emerge Series.
Join them on
Wednesday June 7, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM EDT for the live webinar: Take Control of your Development, “10 Surprising Reasons You’re Not Getting Promoted”.
About the webinar: You come into work 15 minutes early every day. You
do everything that's asked of you (with a smile, no less), and you're a team
player. So why haven't you gotten that promotion? It might be because you're
female. No, the male higher-ups aren't necessarily sexist. It turns out that
women are more prone than male colleagues to engage in career-sabotaging
workplace behaviors. Kristi Dosh will share 10 little
habits that may be keeping you down on the corporate ladder.
Participants will leave the workshop equipped to: Identify barriers
that are hindering professional advancement, decreasing productivity, and
keeping them from maximizing contributions to your organization, confidently
communicate thoughts and ideas to enhance overall organization effectiveness, and
determine work priorities and behaviors that enhance productivity.
About the speaker: Kristi currently
contributes as a sports business analyst to Forbes and Campus Insiders. Previously,
Kristi served as a sports business reporter at ESPN, and prior to that she was
a full-time practicing attorney who contributed on the side to Forbes and
Comcast Sports Southeast.
Kristi is also the
founder BusinessofCollegeSports.com. The site has become a
nationally-recognized source for news and analysis of the business of college
sports. Professors around the country use content from BusinessofCollegeSports.com
to teach courses in law, sports administration, and sports management programs.
In addition to her writing on the business of sports, Kristi is also a
contributor to Fast Company, where she writes on topics related to entrepreneurship. Kristi is also a frequent freelance writer for national publications such as Glamour, Men’s Health, Woman’s Day and Parents.
Attendees at the Emerge Conference will also
be awarded .1 Continuing Education Unit credit by Northeast State Community
College.
Registration for this webinar is $35 per person. Reserve your seat
