The Gibson Brothers

The Gibson Brothers

Twice named Entertainer of the Year, The Gibson Brothers, siblings Eric and Leigh, are renowned equally for their instrumental prowess, unmatched charisma and onstage storytelling as they are for their status as the premier brother-harmony duo in folk music today. Woven seamlessly between rip-pickin’ instrumentals, tender lyrical ballads and stunning Gospel numbers, The Gibson Brothers entertain audiences with personal stories of their humble beginnings, childhood on the farm and more recent life on the road.

Since childhood, the brothers’ guiding stars have been songs recorded by music’s greatest brother duos: the Monroes, the Louvins and the Everlys, whose close harmonies have captivated listeners for decades. Their newest album, Brotherhood, features fifteen songs from country, bluegrass and early rock ‘n’ roll brother acts. Listeners will immediately recognize material released by familiar names like Phil and Don Everly (“Bye Bye Love” and “Crying in the Rain”), Charlie and Ira Louvin (“Seven Year Blues”), Jim and Jesse McReynolds (“Sweet Little Miss Blue Eyes”), and Carter and Ralph Stanley (“How Mountain Girls Can Love”). Always performing dressed to the nines in suits and ties, there’s a back-porch ease to the Gibson’s delivery and cadence that endears them to audiences of all ages.
