More than 25 years after Travis Tritt launched his music career, the Grammy^® Award-winning artist continues to sell-out shows, top sales charts and stay true and relevant to country music fans across the globe. On the heels of sold-out shows throughout his solo acoustic tour and amid a heavy tour schedule that takes Tritt and his band across the country to play for packed out crowds, the Southern-rock influenced country artist topped the SoundScan Top 200 Catalog Country Albums chart for multiple weeks.  

A Marietta, Georgia native, Travis Tritt is dubbed one of “The Class of ‘89,” which included country music superstars Garth Brooks, Clint Black, and Alan Jackson; all of whom dominated the charts in the early 90’s. Among his 11 studio albums and numerous charted singles are 19 Top 10 hits, including “Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde,” “Love Of A Woman,” and “T-R-O-U-B-L-E.”  His 25-year career has produced millions in album sales, two Grammy^® Award wins and multiple No. 1 singles on the country radio charts.

Brian Culbertson is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, writer and producer who crosses genres between contemporary jazz, R&B and funk. Heralding from the musically rich city of Chicago, he began his musical studies at the early age of 8 on piano and quickly picked up several other instruments by age 12 including drums, trombone, bass, and euphonium. Inspired by the great R&B/Jazz/Pop artists of the 70’s like Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Chicago, David Sanborn, and others, Brian Culbertson started composing original music for his 7th grade piano recital and hasn’t stopped having self-produced 16 solo albums, most of which have topped the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts.

Having worked and performed with countless industry all-stars like Michael McDonald, Chris Botti, Ledisi, Barry Manilow, Herb Alpert, Natalie Cole, Chuck Brown, and Bootsy Collins just to name a few, Brian has received numerous awards including being nominated for a 2012 NAACP Image Award and a 2012 Soul Train Award. Also in 2012, he founded the Napa Valley Jazz Getaway now in its fifth year. 

Fans can rest assured that with 16 albums and counting, Brian Culbertson always brings his very best – and brings the very best out of others – in all his broad-ranging musical endeavors.

Letters to Santa can be mailed in a special mailbox in the lobby at Memorial Park Community Center without any postage!  Santa’s helpers pick up the letters daily to make sure they get to the North Pole before Christmas.  Make sure to include a return address so Santa can answer your letter!

The glorious songs of the season will be a great start to your Christmas festivities as the music department presents its annual Christmas concert. The performance will feature choirs, orchestra, brass choir, and the organ in the beautifully-decorated Seeger Chapel. The evening also will include a carol sing-along and conclude with a moving candle-lighting and singing of "Silent Night." 

The concert is free, but an offering with a suggested donation of $5 will be taken to benefit the Milligan music program. 

Audiences will have two opportunities to experience the glorious sights and sounds of the season at the annual Milligan College community Christmas concert on Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m.

The performances are free and open to the public.

With Christmas right around the corner we are offering a one day only “flash sale” of our tickets at the special price of $15 for two tickets ($5 each additional ticket). This is a great Christmas gift for your significant other and daughter. You do not want to miss this great pre-sale price, because tickets will not go on sale again until January 4^th at $10 per ticket. The living Christmas Tree is a 9-level, 25-foot tree filled with 65 singers, accompanied by a 24-piece orchestra, with drama, soloists and video clips as part of the production.  The music ranges from a sing-a-long with Christmas carols to spirituals; classic to contemporary.  The Living Christmas Tree has been presented in our community for over 40 years, and in 2014 for the first time at Carver Recreation Center. Event is free, but tickets are required and can be picked up at Carver or Central Baptist Church in advance.
