KINGSPORT,
Tenn. (May 24, 2016) – YWCA Bristol is thinking outside of the Tri Cites and
reaching more women than ever before. Their new addition of webinars will
enable women from all over the nation participate in the Emerge Women’s Series.
Emerge is a
professional series for women striving to be great leaders in today's
organizations. Through expert-led presentations, networking, and interactive
training, Emerge builds upon the strengths and talents women already
possess.
The first
webinar will be live on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
EDT. With guest speaker, Lavinia Boxill,
Vice President for Development at Rutgers University Foundation. The webinar is titled, Know Your Worth, Demonstrate Your Value & Build Your Negotiation
Skills.
Companies
and organizations are increasingly realizing the value in growing and retaining
employees. Replacing trained employees is expensive, and job hopping is looked
down upon by employers. Fortunately, employers are becoming more flexible to
retain committed employees. But you must
do your part as well. In this webinar you will learn to:
•
Advocate for
your professional advancement and hone your professional skills
•
Make the
right connections within the organization
•
Read the
political tea leaves
•
Negotiate
for what is important to you professionally and personally
