Gregory Popovich brings his Vegas show to the NPAC stage! The World Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is a family oriented blend of comedy and unique talent. Comedy Pet Theater features an amazing cast of house cats, dogs, parrots, even geese and mice! Critics describe it as a unique blend of comedy, world-champion juggling, and the extraordinary talents of more than 30 performing pets.

Gregory has rescued the animals from shelters all over the country and transformed them into Las Vegas stars, using positive reinforcement and working with the animal’s natural abilities to create a fun, one-of-kind show. Audiences will be delighted to see the extravaganza of European-style clowning, balancing acts, and of course, very talented performing pets.

Deerslayer 5K Obstacle Course Race

 3.1 miles mixed terrain, pave/unpaved areas over hilly forested areas and open fields. Categories: Competitive and Just For Fun.

Walk-in Registration begins December 15 at Memorial Park Community Center, 510 Bert Street. Mon-Fri (7am-9pm) Sat. (9am-5pm).  Online registration opens in January at www.johnsoncitytn.org. Open to ages 18+ (proof of age required). All racers receive t-shirt and medal. NO RACE DAY registration. Bag check available race day for $2/person.

Fee: Dec 15-Jan 15: $45/person; Jan 16-Feb 15: $50/person; Feb 16-Mar 15: $55/person; Mar 16-April 14: $60/person.

Jacob's Ride set for April 16th

Participants will gather at the ETSU parking lot behind Knight's Pizza.  The event begins with walkers starting at 9am.  Cyclists will follow immediately after.  

Registration is $10 for walkers and $25 for cyclists before April 1st and $40 after April 1st.

Ready to get involved? Use your feet to help the Wholehearted Orphanage, which is dedicated to building orphanages and proving orphaned children in Haiti with a place to call home.

Milligan Orchestra: An International Kaleidoscope

 

The Milligan Orchestra, directed by Professor of Music Dr. Kellie Brown, will conclude its season with a spring concert celebrating the sounds and colors of music from around the world, including Japan, Egypt, and France. Guest artists include the Appalachian State University’s 35-member guitar orchestra performing works by Spanish and Italian composers. As a special 10-year celebration, “Genesis” -- a work commissioned and premiered by the orchestra in 2006 from internationally renowned composer Kenton Coe -- will have a special reprise performance.
