The Business Success Forum provides business leaders with access to innovators in our community sharing information to enrich their profession and their life.

Quarterly training workshops offer a variety of unique learning opportunities covering such topics as leadership skills training, financial training, marketing/sales training, team building, or business legal issues. Members may suggest or request other topics.

By attending the workshop you are automatically granted a free membership. Our guest speakers offer discounts and special offers to our members. We encourage further interaction between our honored guest speakers and members beyond the planned workshops.

Connect Tri-Cities Social and Business Networking Event
Connect Tri-Cities is a Social and Business Networking Event. It will take place on Thursday, November 12,2015 from5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center located at  2406 N Roan Street in Johnson City.

This event will allow both businesses and the public to interact and make more connections, promote their businesses and meet new people  that they may have never met before. It is not a Referral event nor hosted by any other referral groups, it is hosted solely by Myself independently.

My ultimate mission is to bring both consumers and businesses together in one place which will allow them to Connect, Meet and Promote!

I think that this event will do just that and am very confident that it could be a resource to the area. It is 100% free to attend.

Goodwill Grand Opening!

 

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is opening a new retail and program location on November 13th! The new store site, located at 15811 Porterfield Highway, Abingdon, VA next to Food Country, will provide customers with over 7,500 square feet of shopping! The grand opening will start at 9:00 am and the first 20 customers will receive a $10 Goodwill gift certificate! A Goodwill information table will be set up with information about the different programs Goodwill offers and how you can get enrolled!

 

By opening a Goodwill retail location and starting up program services in early 2016 in Abingdon, Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is able to offer their services, such as job placement, school-to-work and employment skills training, in hopes of enriching more lives.

Milligan College Commencement

Milligan College is planning fall commencement for Friday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. in the college's Mary B. Martin Auditorium located in Seeger Chapel.

Milligan's Distinguished Professor of Christian Ministries Dr. LeRoy Lawson, who has a long association with the college and Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan, will be the keynote speaker at the ceremony, where Milligan will award 109 degrees.

Stop by the Goodwill Processing Center, located at 3020 Brookside Drive, on Saturday, December 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to take advantage of the Goodwill housewares sale! Customers are able to look through tables full of all sorts of items, including frames, decorative floral pieces, appliances, kitchen items, household decorations and other assorted knick-knacks!

By hosting this holiday houseware sale, Goodwill is able to give these items one last chance to be sold before being recycled. The proceeds from our sales and all our retail stores help fund our employment service programs for individuals with barriers to employment.

In celebration of Milligan’s 150th anniversary, the symphony will feature the college’s Orchestra and Concert Choir. The concert repertoire will include Mozart’s “Overture to Marriage of Figaro,” Haydn’s “Te Deum for Maria Theresa,” Bach’s “Brandenburg Concerto No. 3,” and Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 4 in B-flat Major.” Free admission for Milligan students, faculty, and staff. All others: Adults, $35; seniors, $30; and non-Milligan students, $10.

Mark Landis has been called one of the most prolific art forgers in U.S. history. His body of spans 30 years and has been displayed in at least 50 museums in 20 states. Mary B. Martin School of the Arts at ETSU present the documentary film 'Art and Craft' – about Landis' work and pursuers – with filmmaker Sam Cullman as part of the South Arts Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8 in ETSU's Ball Hall Auditorium. The film starts out as a cat-and-mouse caper but emerges as an intimate story of obsession and the universal need for appreciation and purpose. A Q&A and reception with Landis and the filmmaker will follow the free screening.

Founded in Dallas, Texas in 1983 by Michael Levine, Dallas Brass has become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles. The group has established a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with a full complement of drums and percussion, which creates a performing entity of extraordinary range and musical challenges.

The Dallas Brass repertoire includes Classical masterpieces, Dixieland, Swing, Broadway, Hollywood, and Patriotic music. In addition to their solo engagements, Dallas Brass appears with symphony orchestras nationwide including the Cincinnati Pops, New York Pops, and the Philly Pops.

Cooking with Chef Armond at Olive Oil Divine!

Back by popular demand, we invite you to join us for an evening at our private cooking demonstration February 18, 2016 at 6:30pm at Olive Oil Divine.  The guest chef will be Chef Armond from "Label Restaurant" of downtown Johnson City.  Chef Armond will be preparing two dishes using Olive Oil Divine Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  Interact with Chef Armond and taste the prized dishes he teaches and prepares right in front of you!  Chef Armonds recipes for the evening will consist of:

  • Caesar Salad Bites (Crisp Romaine Lettuce, Chef Armonds custom Caesar dressing and Crouton Bowl with Asiago Parmesan Cheese)
  • Seared Thyme and Garlic Parmesan Chicken with Vegetable Risotto (Chicken Breast marinated in fresh chopped thyme, sea salt and cracked black pepper. Pan seared to perfection in an Olive Oil Divine Parmesan Infused EVOO and Roasted Garlic Fused Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Carrots, Portabello Mushrooms, Brussel sprouts, and Grape Tomatoes, sautéed and tossed with creamy Risotto and finished with white wine.

Sample size portions will be served to each participant.

Sample any or all of Olive Oil Divine oils & vinegars during this private event and make it a fun night out!

All participants will go home with sample bottles of some of the oils used for this presentation along with Chefs recipes for the evening.
