The Junior League of Johnson City 8th Annual Touch-A-Truck
This exciting community event allows children the opportunity to learn firsthand about all types of working trucks and service vehicles by exploring them and interacting with the people who build, protect and serve our local community. Vehicles will include everything from police cars to construction trucks to farm equipment. Vendors and League members will also offer food, games, crafts and more! Tickets are available online at www.juniorleagueofjc.com or at the door. $5 per person, $15 for a family of 4, or $25 for a family of 6.

Suzuki Top Gun Showdown Muddy Creek Racewat
BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. – One of the premier amateur motocross events in the country, the Suzuki Top Gun Showdown, invades Muddy Creek Raceway for the 27th annual event Oct. 17-19.
The season finale in the Thor United States Mega Series, a 16-event series that runs in Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia, will feature hundreds of the top amateur riders from across the nation competing in 42 different classes with competitors as young as four taking part in the event.

The Memorial Park Community Center in Johnson City will be the place to be for job seekers to get a boost in their job search. From 9 a.m. to noon, employers such as Goodwill, Advance Call Center Technologies and Mullican Flooring will have booths set up and looking for talented individuals to fill their open positions.
There will be a wide range of employers present, from retail to construction to the food industry. Do you think you have a winning photo? Now is your chance to see how your photo compares to other photos. Contests are an excellent way to get feedback on photos and see what works and what doesn't. Something that makes our contest unique and easy to enter...there is no printing or matting unless you win!
The club is hosting their annual Digital Photo Contest on November 20th. The deadline to enter is November 11th. You don't have to be an Eastman employee to enter, but you do need to be an Eastman Camera Club member. Joining is only $10/year for affiliate members (non-employees). See our website on how to join.
Contest entries can be turned in between September 22nd and November 11th. There are two categories, color and monochrome, with three levels of competition; Proficient Amateurs, Amateurs and Youth.
