The Bucks County Intermediate Unit (Bucks IU)
Education Foundation, in partnership with the Central Bucks Sertoma Club, are
hosting their 4th annual ‘Run–Walk–Roll for the Kids’ on April 29,
2017. This family-friendly event, is
perfect for runners, racers, and rookies offering a morning full of fun and
activities. Held rain or shine at the
Bucks IU, located at 705 N. Shady Retreat Road in Doylestown PA, this year
additional activities and vendors such as a DJ for music, face painting, and
food have been added. Preregistration
for both the Fun Run and 5K is recommended to ensure receipt of a race day
shirt.
FUN
RUN
The first activity of the day begins at 9:00
a.m. and is an easy, one mile ‘Fun Run’ that is perfect for families to kick
off spring with this great opportunity to get outside and exercise
together. The course is stroller and
wheelchair friendly so everyone can participate, and is perfect for beginning

5K
RACE
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., the 5K race course is
officially certified by the USA Track and Field Association with the miles accurately
measured and clearly marked. Marshals
ensure safety over the course, with street closings where necessary, and water
stations strategically located. Race
times are calculated by RaceWires LLC and will be tallied by both gun and chip
times.
There will be lots of winners! One overall male and female winner will be
named as well as one male and female age graded master runner. There will also be awards for the first 3
runners in each age group, both male and female, and the age group categories
include under 8, 9-11, 12-14, and then groupings of ages spanning 4 years after
