Calendar of Events

Join us for this FREE Funventure in which we'll explore the Great Outdoors, go on a Scavenger Hike and then meet up for a picnic at Discovery Outpost!

We'll begin by meeting at the Lake Elmer Thomas parking area in the Refuge (see link below). There we will embark on a one mile (one way) easy paved trail. Strollers and wheelchairs welcome! Each participant will be given a checklist of nature items to find. After the hike, bring your checklist back to Discovery Outpost and redeem it for a prize!

We'll have tables and chairs set up at Discovery Outpost. So, bring a picnic lunch after the hike and let's hang out! Remember to bring plenty of water and wear comfortable shoes! See you there!
