#OwnYourMasters provides a space for artists to learn how to build their respective brands by retaining ownership of what they create while networking with other artists and professionals to enrich the culture of Lawton Hip Hop and develop independent artist careers. Topics will include what revenue streams are owed to you as a recording artist, producer, and songwriter, how to get paid, social media marketing, and building an independent brand. Resources will also be provided.

Desiree Steeze (GotSteeze.net) is a jack of all trades from Oklahoma City, OK who has been featured as a panelist in the Tucson Hip Hop Festival as well as a connector, blogger, and PR professional in the Oklahoma Gazette, KOKH FOX 25 News, Oklahoma's Living Oklahoma, OKC's 30under30, and Broke 2 Dope among many more publications and events. Dezz currently teaches social media marketing classes at ACM@UCO and serves as one of most important people to know in Oklahoma City Hip Hop culture. With over 10 years in the game and a natural love for the culture her professional experience and network of industry connections now spans across the country and in many areas of expertise.
Jacobi Ryan is a Hip Hop artist, entrepreneur and former financial services professional from Lawton, OK who has headlined the OKC Plaza District Festival, helped build Oklahoma's premiere monthly Hip Hop show Heart of Hip Hop and now hosts his own monthly show #BecomeAcquainted in OKC. Jacobi was featured in OkSessions as one of 3 artists paving the way for Oklahoma music in 2019, as he is releasing a new song, music video and podcast episode every week--all 2019. As an independent artist Jacobi has developed the skills of graphic design, brand development, and social media marketing as well as financial literacy as an artist in understanding the business side of music.
