Three Museums in Three Hours
Comanche National Museum and Cultural Center, Museum of the Great Plains, and General Tommy Franks Leadership mobile museum will offer free admittance.

What Attendees will Experience 
An authentic chuck wagon with a chance to eat a s'more
Mattie Beal reenactment in school house 
Myron Beeson, flute player will perform in MoGP auditorium 
Lawton Rangers will teach roping inside MoGP and stable horses in the compound.
A Black Smith in Trading Post 
Native Dancers and drums 
Fort Sill Museum will offer historical reenactments and Civil War cannon demonstration.
Comanche National Museum will offer:
Hands on Learning --Attendees can view and handle bones and other artifacts. 
Bow and Arrow-- Guests can learn about the Comanche short bow; those aged 12 and older will be allowed to shoot an arrow. 
Storytelling – Children can learn how the buffalo got a flat nose, according to the Comanche’s. 
Craft - Children can make a cradleboard to take home with them.

4:00 - 6:00 pm      "Christmas Spirit" Holiday in the Park Parade -  Line-up at pre-designated downtown site, C Avenue and east and north of the Central Mall.

6:00 - 8:00 pm      "Christmas Spirit" Holiday in the Park begins downtown and ends in Elmer Thomas Park.

8:00 - 9:00 pm       "Christmas Tree in the Park" is lighted by City of Lawton, Mayor Fred Fitch

9:00 pm                   Festivities End

5:00 - 9:00 Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Light Display begins immediately following the "Christmas Spirit" Parade o November 17 and runs thru New Years Eve, December 31, 2018.

Stop and Shop Local – “Small Business, Big Change”
 

The holidays are fast approaching and what better way to show that you care than to purchase items that are unique and one of a kind? Stop and Shop Local is where you’ll have access to several vendors to purchase that perfect gift for a loved one or yourself. Best part is you’ll be supporting local businesses, all within our area. The Stop and Shop Local event takes place in the same building where Spirit of Halloween is at currently. 

This day will be filled with fun for the whole family, its free to attend, plenty of merchandise and services to purchase and raffle tickets to buy for your chance at winning local products from our local vendors. All this on Small Business Saturday and alongside Santa photos.

Message to Vendors:

This event has no vendor fee, but there is an application process and limited slots for vendors. We only ask that you apply to attend and donate one raffle item for same day raffles, our goal is to provide variety so spaces are limited for each type of vendor. Learn to operate a forklift while learning the non-job specific training requirements mandated in the OSHA standard 1910.178.

Topics include the classes, types, and safe operation of Powered Industrial Trucks.

You will gain a greater understanding of the stability and capacity as well as get hands on training on a sit down counter balance forklift.

Class cost is $49.
