Book Discussion“My Life” by Isadora Duncan with Dr. J. Neal

The Lawton Arts & Humanities Council has chosen to discuss the theme, “The Journey Inward: Women’s Autobiography. This theme was developed with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The program, Let’s Talk About it, Oklahoma, is a discussion group that comes together for a five-part, scholar-led series. Each scholar opens the program, bringing the book to life, provoking the group’s curiosity with insights and raising questions that spark discussion. All book discussions are held at Cameron University Library every third Thursday of each month at 6pm.

"My Life" by Isadora Duncan is the fourth presentation of the five-part, scholar-led series.

“Fascinating, even sensational reading.”
- New York Times

“Isadora was a wild voluptuary, a true revolutionary. She flouted every tradition. . . . She alone and unhelped changed the direction of her entire art.”
- Agnes de Mille

Isadora Duncan is considered the "Mother of Modern Dance", was a trailblazing dancer and instructor who emphasized freer forms of movement which were a precursor to modern dance techniques. Her autobiography "My Life" was published in 1927 the year of her death shortly has gone on to become a critically acclaimed work.

Learn more about Isadora Duncan at https://www.britannica.com/biography/Isadora-Duncan

These programs are free and open to the public. Please come and join us to learn from these exciting and interesting books and perhaps share your experience and knowledge with other people. Rally for Miracles Charity Car Show

Rally for Miracles Charity Car Show

RE/MAX Professionals is proud to once again host the Rally for Miracles as a Miracle Office with the Children’s Miracle Network.

We are committed to helping raise funds to give Oklahoma children access to exceptional pediatric services and specialists without leaving the state.

In 2017, we were able to raise $11,780 through the generosity and support of numerous businesses and citizens from the Lawton/Fort Sill community.

This year, we are excited to include the Playground in the Park on the miracles! We will be raising funds to help purchase and install a variety of handicap equipment. Our goal is to give children with disabilities the accessibility and opportunity to safely and securely play.

We are looking for vendors to come out and advertise their business big or small! Booth rental is $25.

If you have a car, truck or motorcycle you would like to enter, registration is only $25! Awards will be given to the top 3 in each class, car club participation, RE/MAX Choice Award and Miracle Choice Award.
