1st Annual Hungry Hearts "Forever Young" Adult Prom

Hungry Hearts is working towards finding our forever home and being able to continue helping our community by hosting the 1st Annual "Forever Young" Adult Prom. This year's theme is "Glitter and Bowties". This is a fundraising event, so we will have a live auction with some pretty nice items up for auction. Must be 21 and up to attend. Prom King and Queen will be crowned based on best dressed couple. Semi-Formal to Formal attire preferred. We will have hors d'oeuvres and a bar available for drink purchases. Event photos by Focus Pocus. Music provided by J.J. Pro Audio. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Please come out and join us for what we hope to be a magical evening!!

Blue Moon Productions presents "The Music Lesson"

Blue Moon Productions will present "The Music Lesson" at 8 p.m. Aug. 31, Sept. 1 and Sept. 7 and 8 at the Goodwill Adult Day Care Center, 923 Hilltop Dr. in Lawton. Tickets are $15 and $10 for students with proper identification. Call 580-591-6730 for reservations.

"The Music Lesson" is a dramedy that weaves together the music of Bach, memories of the Bosnian War and the inevitable conflict between student and teacher. Irena and Ivan are husband and wife musicians who have escaped the war in Sarajevo to start a new life in Pittsburgh. Irena’s passion for music and her students helped her survive the war, but now she’s torn between two students — Maja, the 12-year-old prodigy she left behind, and Kat, the bright, but angry, American teenager.

Our annual fundraising event for our programs that support junior enlisted military members and family. Enjoy a fine meal with fried chicken or fish all the while supporting your local ASYMCA.
