Chamber's Annual Celebration
The Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce will present its Annual Celebration on June 29th at the Apache Casino Hotel, 2327 E. Gore Blvd. Doors open at 6 p.m. Chamber members are encouraged to attend as the chamber will celebrate a momentous year, honor members for their dedication and map out the year ahead. This year's theme is "Finding a Way to Yes...Together," which will be outlined by incoming Chairman Albert Johnson, Jr.
Following the Annual Celebration, there will be a Community Concert featuring Yellow Rose Dinner Theatre performing "Motown Magic." The concert will begin at 8:30 p.m. "Mowtown Magic" is a show inspired by the Motown sound that became popular in the 1960s. Motown is the combination of soul music with a distinct pop influence that inspired Barry Gordy to found Motown records in Detroit, Mich. on April 14, 1960.
