Tour de Meers

he Tour de Meers is the major fundraiser for the Meers Volunteer Fire Department. The first Tour de Meers was held in 1989 and was organized by a group of residents from the Meers Community. The Tour de Meers has grown and evolved over the years to become a destination bicycle ride for it's participants.

The Tour de Meers consists of 4 different routes that either skirt, or pass through the beautiful Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.

Funds raised by the Tour de Meers have allowed the MVFD to upgrade very old equipment, properly outfit our firefighters with gear for their safety while fighting fires, equip our trucks with better fire fighting apparatus, continue upkeep and maintenance on our trucks (which is very costly) and we were able to build an addition to our department for use as an office/training room, restrooms and much needed additional truck bays.

For additional information about the Tour de Meers, please visit our website at
www.tourdemeers.org.

When:
Saturday, May 26, 2018 7:30 AM thru 02:00 PM
Where:
Meers Volunteer Fire Station, 26362 State Highway 115, Zip Code 73507
