Goodwill Industries of Southwest Oklahoma & North Texas,
Inc. is hosting their 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, September 25th
at the Lawton County Club. Registration opens
at 10:30 am (unless you have preregistered) with lunch at 11:00 am and a
shotgun start at 12:00 noon. All monies
raised from the golf tournament will benefit our Goodwill programs. Programs like our Adult Day & Youth
Services (for youth with special needs), Workforce Development Center, Career
Development Center, VITA (Free income tax preparation during tax season) and
our Goodwill Maximum Independence Scholarship program. With recent federal and state funding cuts
that have directly impacted some of our programs, we are hosting this
tournament to help offset some of these cuts.
The top 3 teams will be awarded a cash prize of $1,000 for
the 1st Place Team, $600 for the 2nd Place Team and $300
for the 3rd Place Team. We
will kick off the tournament with a Putting Contest and the winners will have
their choice of a $125.00 Card from a major retailer. A randomly drawn prize will be awarded an
additional team and door prizes will be given to individual players. There will
be 5 chances to win a Hole in One prize throughout the course to include a car
and motorcycle.
Anyone that is interested in participating in our tournament
as a sponsor to support those in need right here in your community or to
register as a player, should contact Missy Beets at 580-583-4206 or Ed Trope at
