The second of 3 events! As part of the weekend launch of the new civic group Young Professionals of Lawton, the group will be spending the day Friday focusing on the community service aspect of their launch, and will be supporting the United Way "Day of Caring" event. Kick-off Breakfast at GPTC, 8:00am. Following, the Young Professionals will form a team to assist with projects in the afternoon. Parade Information
This year marks the 53rd anniversary of one of the largest Armed Forces Day Parades in the country. The parade will feature 800 marching Soldiers, artillery vehicles including ADA Museum’s M16 halftrack, Vietnam-vintage M151A1 searchlight jeep, bands, floats, unicycles, antique cars. Parade marshals will be MG Brian McKiernan and Mayor Fred Fitch. They will step out of the parade to take their seats in the reviewing stand.
Parking Information
We recommend you park in the parking lot located across from Stripes convenience store on 11th Street and West Gore Boulevard. This parking lot is on the west side of the street.
