Area Legislators have been invited to provide insight regarding current legislative issues.  Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the legislators.  Lunch is provided.

The NAF Property Sale will take place at the NAF Property Warehouse (Bldg. 3328) on Thursday, March 16 and Friday, March 17.

March 16: 10 am - 12 pm - Active Duty Military and their Immediate Family Members only;
12 - 2 pm - Active Duty Military, Retirees and their Immediate Family Members only

March 17: 10 am - 2 pm - Open to the Public.

Items for sale include ADA Golf Carts, Kitchen Equipment, Televisions, Child Care Furnishings, Toys, Washers & Dryers, Gym Equipment and various odds and ends.

Patrons without DoD Identification arrive early to process through Visitor Control Center. 

Leadership Lawton Class XXVII presents "Knocking Down Poverty One Pin At A Time"

Getting Ahead in a Just-Gettin'-By World is both a book and experience a 45 hour workshop that helps individuals in poverty build their resources for a more prosperous life for themselves, their families, and their community.

Learn to operate a forklift while learning the non-job specific training requirements mandated in the OSHA standard 1910.178.

Topics include the classes, types, and safe operation of Powered Industrial Trucks. You will gain a greater understanding of the stability and capacity as well as get hands on training on a sit down counter balance forklift.

Cost is $49 

The Lawton High School Key Club will be hosting the 2nd Annual Stride 4 Shelter: 5K 4 R Kids on March 25, 2017! All funds raised for this exciting Bubble Run will be donated to Lawton Public School's McKinney-Vento Program, which serves more than 750 students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade who have been identified as living in a homeless situation. The McKinney-Vento Education of Homeless Children and Youth Assistance Act is a federal law that ensures immediate enrollment and educational stability for homeless children and youth. The McKinney-Vento Act defines homeless children as "individuals who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence."

Our primary goal for the 5K Bubble Run is first and foremost to raise awareness about the homeless student situation in our community while providing knowledge about services available for anyone in a homeless situation and supporting those students in need. We want to show Lawton's homeless students that their peers, teachers, and community care them. They are not forgotten, they are seen, they matter, and WE support them!

On Saturday March 25th, 2017 at 10:00 am the Stride 4 Shelter Bubble Run will begin and end on the Lawton High School Track, located behind Lawton High School. Segments of the course will be in Elmer Thomas Park on the paths. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Run registration is $20 through RaceEntry at: goo.gl/HZGYv9 With the registration fee you will receive a runner bib, Stride 4 Shelter Bubble Run T-shirt, and the opportunity to run through bubbles and foam.

Attire is whatever you feel comfortable running/ walking in and athletic shoes. Please note: there will be bubbles and foam so you might get a little wet. Our suggestion: wear your best lime green gear! The Homeless Student Awareness color is Lime Green. Help us Lime Out Lawton!
