In the second part of the 2017 Ableson Religious Reconciliation Lecture, Venerable Geshe Lobsang Chophel, a Tibetan Buddhist monk, will return to campus to discuss the Buddhist approach to peace and compassion in the modern world. During the day, Chophel and his fellow monks will craft a mandala, a sand painting filled with sacred iconography, that will be swept away at the end of the event.
