Relay For Life of Madison/Ridgeland will take place on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 6:00pm – midnight at Liberty Park.

Local cancer survivors and their caregivers are invited to participate in the celebratory first lap at the annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Madison/Ridgeland. The Survivors Lap will start 6:00pm, and anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer may participate. As the survivors walk, other event participants will cheer them on in a demonstration of support and celebration. A touching Luminaria Ceremony, where candles are lit in honor and memory of locals who have battled cancer, will happen at 10:00pm.

In order to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Relay For Life, the 2015 Relay theme will be “Taking it back to the 80s – Celebrating 30 Years of Hope!” Relay teams will be dressed in their 80s best and the night’s activities will be done 80s style!
