

Weaving or Spinning
Time: Tuesday Evenings, 7-9 PM, 10 weeks
Dates: Starts March 31, 2015
Class Fee: Ten weeks, $195, includes use of all equipment and supplies for first project. Pre-registration & payment necessary & subject to equipment availability.
Learn to weave! Instruction will guide you step-by-step through the process to plan and weave a sash/scarf. You will select yarns, prepare and dress the loom, weave and finish your piece. All materials and equipment to complete your project will be provided. You will also receive a full-color instruction manual; “Beginning Weaving, the Very first Project” by Marcy F. Petrini.

Learn to Spin! Using a flyer spinning wheel, you will learn to draft fiber, spin yarn, ply your yarn and adjust the spinning wheel. All fiber and equipment will be provided. You will also receive a full-color instruction manual; “Start Spinning on a Flyer Wheel” by Marcy F. Petrini.
Weaving and spinning classes are held concurrently and are co-taught by Marcy Petrini and Kathy Perito, both Exhibiting Members of the Craftsmen’s Guild. Marcy is the current columnist for Right from the Start, published in the fiber quarterly, Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot and she has taught classes for the Craftsmen’s Guild since 1981.
