August Virtual General Membership Meeting

Topic: Courage Over Comfort: Tangible Ways to Embrace the Challenge of Every Day

Humans are wired for seeking comfort over the uncomfortable. We fear and shy away from anything that may cause us discomfort, pain, possible embarrassment or social awkwardness. However, we will never grow, we will never be all God called us to be if we get stuck in the comfortable. The decision to choose the braver thing, the decision to not go for comfort is definitely the harder decision. Even when the “gremlins” get after us, with God’s help, we can be everything we need to be for any situation.  And in so doing – God will be glorified.

Key Take-a-Ways

1. With God’s help we can overcome the “gremlins” that often hold us back.

2. The only way to build our courage over comfort muscle, is to lean on God’s truth and go for it.

3. By adding this kind of courage into our “story”, we can fulfill the main reason we are here – “to glorify God”.
