The City of Ellisville is partnering with Adonis Recycling for Electronic Recycling Events in 2018.  Adonis can recycle anything that has had a current running through it.  The only thing they cannot accept are tube televisions and there is a $20 charge for CRT monitors and $5 for microwaves.

Spring Egg Hunt

The Spring Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Fairway Elementary School (480 Old Fairway Drive, Wildwood, Missouri. 63040), between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.

 

The hunt will be split into three age groups: 3 years old and under, 4-6 years old, and 7-11 years old. Bring your own basket and be READY TO HUNT EGGS AT 10:00 A.M. SHARP! If you arrive two (2) minutes late, the 14,000 eggs will be history!

 

Of course, even if you are late (but, please don’t be, your egg hunter will be disappointed), there will be many other fun activities going on! Like always, it will be a fabulous morning!

 

So, place the Egg Hunt on your calendar, arrive early (before 10:00 a.m.), and be prepared to enjoy two (2) hours of extreme fun! Questions? Call Amanda or Gary at 636-458-0440.

CPR/AED Lifesaving Class

This course is designed for any lay rescuer with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED due to job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

Course Covers:
Trains the participant in the life-saving skills of Adult & Child CPR, use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and relief of choking.
Video-based course ensures consistency. Instructor-led, hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency.

Cost: $35.00 per person. 
6:00 pm to 8:30 pm - CPR/AED training for the Adult & Child victim - $35.00

8:30 pm to 9:00 pm - Additional $5.00 per person for CPR/AED training for the Infant victim - this will be covered at the end of the evening and is optional.

Bethesda Hospice 5K Memorial Walk/Run

 

Join us on Saturday, June 16, for the 6th Annual Hospice 5K/1K  Memorial Walk to honor and remember loved ones. This event, coordinated by Bethesda Hospice Care, includes a 5K option (partial pavement and partial gravel with a few hills), or a 1K option (entirely pavement). Other activities include a ribbon ceremony, Veterans’ table, children’s activity table, music, and much more.

This event is free and open to anyone who has lost a loved one, not just those receiving services by Bethesda Hospice Care, and who would like to participate in his/her memory.

City of Valley Park Valley Days Celebration

Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.  both Friday and
Saturday night

Heroes on Parade begins Saturday, July 14th at 10:00 a.m. from Zion Lutheran Church on Meramec Station Rd. and will Continue down Fern Ridge Ave., Lookout Ave., Forest Ave., Didian Ave. and Beckett Memorial to St. Louis Ave., turning at 9th Street  and onto Benton, ending at City Hall.  Awards will be presented for Best overall, Best Commercial and Best Non-Commercial. We will also have a few special prizes for the best looking Superhero’s age 12 and under. If you are interested in participating In the Parade please contact Mayor Chandra Webster at (636) 448-0890.

      Parade Winners will be announced and presented an award at 11:30 a.m. at the fair grounds stage.

        $25 Carnival Wristbands valid Saturday only 1:00 p.m. – 6: 00 p.m.

*      BBQ featuring award winning PIG PIN’S BBQ on Friday 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.  

        Food Vendors: this year we will again have Grace Goodies with her Gyro’s, amazing Crab Rangoon, Funnel Cakes, Blooming Onions, as well as Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Nacho’s, and all your other favorite carnival foods.  We have added a vendor that will provide Turkey Legs, Roasted Corn and “When Pigs Fly Pork Wings.”  The Malt Shop will also join us again with their deliciously cool Concretes in your favorite flavors.

*        Amazing Clown and Magic Show presented By Larry Levin on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

       Dance Art Studios join us for a special performance by the Dance Art Competition line on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

*        Bingo under the Big Top sponsored by the Valley Park Lions Club will be on Saturday from 2:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

      Cornhole Tournament sponsored by BOBBY’S PLACE and hosted by the Valley Park Lions Club begins Saturday at 3:00 p.m.  Registration from 2:00 pm – 2:30 p.m.

*      Inside the World’s Fair of 1904 a visual tour of the fairgrounds presented by local historian, Doug Schneider will be on Saturday July 14th at 4:30 p.m. in The Brignole Center.  Limited Seating Available.
