Two
events will be held in tandem this year for one great day: The second Antiques
Appraisal Fair and the Thrive: Senior Life After 55 senior expo will be held
from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at MAC, Inc., Salisbury.
The
Antiques Appraisal Fair will feature antiques experts Charlene Upham and Steve
Blumenauer offering verbal fair market appraisals of antiques, artwork,
jewelry, collectibles, silver, coins and more.
Spectator
admission is free; the cost for appraisals is $5 for one item, $10 for three
items. An antique car show and silent auction also are planned.
This
event is being presented by MAC, Inc., and the Westside Historical Society.
The
antiques event is being held in conjunction with Thrive: Senior Life After 55,
a senior expo featuring displays by area businesses and services offering
information to help those age 55+ enhance their lifestyle. In addition to
displays and presentations by many area businesses of particular interest to
those age 55 and older, there will be door prizes and other giveaways, and
demonstrations.
Admission
to the senior expo is free. Thrive is being sponsored by the Salisbury
Independent newspaper.
MAC is
located off Snow Hill Road in Salisbury, behind the Holly Center.
