ASL Level 2 Classes

 Five week course in ASL Level 2 continues to build on Deaf Culture, grammer, vocabulary and compresention that was taught in ASL Level 1.  Students will be able to have a more in depth understanding of American Sign Language. Classes held every Tuesday and Thursday between 5/15 - 6/14/18 at DILA. Prerequisite is must have taken ASL 1 or permission of the the instructor.  Cost is $150 using Signing Naturally I textbook.  If textbook is needed then cost will be $225.  Registion ends May 14, 2018. Medicare-eligible State of Maryland retirees will no longer receive prescription drug coverage under the Maryland State health plan, effective Jan. 1, 2019, the Maryland Department of Budget and Management, Employee Benefits Division, has announced. These Medicare-eligible Maryland State retirees have until Dec. 31, 2018 to enroll in a Medicare Part D plan for prescription drugs, at their cost, to ensure there is no gap in their coverage. Choosing a new drug plan, and navigating the Medicare maze, can be confusing. MAC, Inc., the Area Agency on Aging, is ready to help.  A Medicare information session will be held Wednesday, May 16, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Willards Senior Center. Proceeds from the 7th Annual Preakness Palooza will benefit United Way's Imagination Library program serving Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset & Dorchester Counties.  Registered children will receive one free book a month delivered directly to their households.  In addition to helping the children develop a love of reading, the program is designed to engage parent involvement, prepare children for entry to kindergarten, and enable every household to build their own library.  Since launching the program in May of 2012, over 120,000 books have been delivered to local children!
