American Sign Language Level I 6 Wk Course

Want to learn American Sign Language, (ASL) or know someone who does?  Then register for DILA’s American Sign Language Level I, six week course, taught twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 24 through March 2, 2017 from 6-8pm. Students will learn to carry on an everyday conversation with deaf individuals.  Role playing and games designed to teach basic signs are used as tools. By the end of the class, a sampling of the skills you will learn are: Manual Alphabet, numbers, introducing yourself, talking about family, discussing the home, office and more. Cost is $225 and includes textbook/DVD, Signing Naturally I (used in 3 levels of ASL). If you already have the textbook/DVD then cost is $150. Delmar Days Spring Carnival

Delmar Days Spring Carnival

This family-friendly event features magic shows, favorite fair food, games and rides for all ages, from fun kiddie rides to state-of-the-art thrill rides, along the colorful midway.

Festival admission is free and includes The Magic of Al Belmont stage shows at 3, 5, 7 and 9 pm daily.

Unlimited ride wristbands are $30 Monday - Thursday and $35 Friday - Sunday. Ride tickets are also available onsite for $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets, or $50 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. (Rides take 3 or more tickets each.)

Registration begins at 8:30am, Superhero sprint for the kids (complete with capes) will begin at 9:30am the walk begins at 10:00am. Fun activities to follow the walk including lunch and Fun Zone activities for the kids!
