Antique Evaluation Night
You are invited to learn the history of your treasures.  A panel of certified specialists will be available to evaluate your items.  Admission to the event is free.  There is a fee of $10 per item to be evaluated with a maximum of 3 items.

Your panel of evaluators' areas of expertise includes colonial artifacts, coins, decoys, folk art, glassware, hunting & maritime artifacts, prints & paintings, sculpture, silver, textiles & related material.

Ker Art Festival & Maritime Exhibit

The Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society is so excited to announce Ker Art and the Maritime Exhibit. This event will be held on the lawn at Ker Place October 16 and 17. On Friday the 16th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm there will be a preview cocktail party; tickets are available for $15 and can be purchased online www.brownpapertickets.com or at the event. Guests will be given the opportunity to view the show and purchase art before it opens to the public.
On Saturday, October 17, the show will open to the public for free admission. The art show features works of over 28 artists, lectures on the restoration of the Annie C., and an exhibit of photographic prints titled "...On the Water: As Seen Through the Lens of Dr. Robertson". This beautiful black and white exhibit documents the local boating history during the 30’s to 70’s. All boat builders are encouraged to display their “shore built” or restored boats on the lawn at Ker place.
Ker Art and the Maritime Exhibit promises to be a wonderful family event, with food, local entertainment by Poundnet and the drawing for the Bevin’s Skiff.  Come spend the day with us...  More >>

Ethan Parker Band

Join us for a night of original rhythm and folk music. The Ethan Parker Band from Tampa, FL, is on a 60-city tour across the U.S. and will be in Salisbury playing some of their newest hits. Their music is on a mission. The goal is to make a difference by spreading hope in the lives of orphans and at-risk youth across the nation. Come out and be a part of the movement. Our voices, together, can change these kids’ lives. This is a free event (donation-only entry). All donations go to Project Primavera, a not-for-profit organization.

Wildgame Fundraiser Dinner

We will have a fundraiser dinner featuring wildgame and seafood. The tickets are $55 for Ward members and $60 for non-members. The meal includes appetizers, stuffed flounder, venison meatballs, frog legs on the side of a nice garden salad with vinaigrette dressing, dessert and of course beer & wine.

Life Shouldn't be a Gamble-Quarter Auction

The Parsonsburg Volunteer Fire Company and Auxiliary are planning our 1st Annual “Life Shouldn’t be a Gamble” Quarter Auction. This event will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Parsonsburg Volunteer Fire Company. The main function of the Parsonsburg Volunteer Fire Company is to provide Fire Protection and EMS care to the Parsonsburg Community and its surrounding areas. This year with your help we would like to raise $13,000 towards the purchase of a 2nd LUCAS Device, this would ensure both of our ambulances, are able to provide the same quality of care to sudden cardiac arrest patients and avoid neurological damage, with a steady supply of oxygen to the heart and brain. Life-sustaining circulation would be created through effective and uninterrupted chest compressions.

** A special photography exhibit by Anne Nielsen titled "Catching Shadows," and a talk by the photographer
** Oyster fritters, tacos, and other goodies from the Accohannock Indian Tribe's famous food truck
**Talks about Native culture led by local Native Americans
